The owner also lives on-site, so you may occasionally see her feeding animals, caring for the property or as ranch life sometimes requires chasing an animal that has decided to go somewhere it shouldn't! The private country road alongside the guesthouse is also a beautiful place to enjoy a peaceful morning walk. And don't be surprised if you wake up to hot air balloons drifting across the sky. That's just another morning in Temecula Wine Country. PLEASE NOTE WORKING RANCH, ANIMALS & OCCASIONAL EVENTS Chick-Ranch is an active animal-rescue property and community/educational space. This means the property has the sights and sounds of a real working ranch and is not a completely quiet or secluded environment. Nighttime Dogs Our working dogs help protect the animals from coyotes and other predators. The dogs may bark at night when they detect wildlife or potential threats near the property. This is an important part of keeping the animals safe and is a normal characteristic of staying at Chick-Ranch. If you are a very light sleeper or require complete nighttime silence, this property may not be the best fit for you. Occasional Events An area directly below the guesthouse is occasionally used for small educational, community and fundraising events. On occasional event days, guests may hear conversation, footsteps and/or music coming from the area below the guesthouse. These events are occasional, not daily, and any event-related activity will conclude by 10:00 PM in accordance with our quiet hours. The location may actually be a great fit for someone who works nights or doesn't require a completely silent environment during the day. However, if you are particularly sensitive to occasional daytime voices or music, please keep this characteristic of the property in mind when deciding whether Chick-Ranch is the right fit for you. We want our guests to know exactly what to expect so that everyone has a comfortable and enjoyable stay. OTHER PROPERTY DETAILS Chick-Ranch has three separate guest units, which may be occupied by other guests during your stay. Each unit has its own separate outdoor area reserved exclusively for the guests of that unit. The owner resides on the property. Exterior security cameras are in use around the buildings for the safety and security of guests and the property. Cameras are not directed toward private guest areas. Because this is a working ranch and animal-rescue property, guests should expect normal country sounds and activity, including animal noises, birds, roosters, working dogs and occasional activity around the property.
