Looking for a roommate in a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom house in West University, very near the Texas Medical Center (8 min drive, 18 min bike ride). It's a very safe, quiet neighborhood with mostly families. The house is older and well-loved, but clean and well-appointed, with on-site washer and dryer. Kitchen has dishwasher, blender, and plenty of cookware. The Weslayan Plaza is just a few blocks away, so very walkable to stores and restaurants. Rent is $1050 and includes gas, water, and wifi. Electricity is included as long as the bill is no higher than $500. Any amount beyond $500 would be split between the three occupants. Room is a good size and fully furnished, wood floors, large walk-in closet. Large patio area, and 2 fully furnished common areas inside. Cats are okay, no dogs, as I have a boxer mix who does not do well sharing his living space with other dogs. A $1000 deposit will also be required, and it would be a 6-month lease with the possibility of renewing. Looking for someone with a community mindset, willing to pitch in to keep common areas of the house clean, and who is open to roomie activities now and then like dinner or a game night. A little about me: I am a heterosexual, ciswoman in my 30's, divorced, and work in scheduling at a hospital in the Medical Center. I love travel, yoga, gardening, reading, and wine. I have a 3-year-old, 50 pound, friendly boxer mix. I am also a vegetarian. Would like a roommate who is conscientious and clean, and doesn't mind living in an older house with a little character. A background check will be performed prior to move-in.
