In between Ballston and Clarendon (at the Virginia Square metro stop) this is a really nice apartment for couples or roommates. You have easy, walkable access to all three metros without the noise and traffic of any of them. It's a great location and it's a particularly large apartment for the area (nearly 1,300 sq ft). The master bedroom is HUGE and includes a side office (which we used as a nursery) leaving us the second bedroom for guests and/or office space. Roommates who are looking for an even split of space might find it hard to split this apartment equally as the master bedroom is so large. That said, previous tenants have divided the master bedroom into two parts and used the second bedroom for a third roommate. Check the floor plan below for measurements. Beautiful hardwood floors throughout. Lots of natural light. Huge interiors -- probably one of the largest apartments you'll find in this area. Gas fireplace. Large walk-in closets with built-in organizers and extra storage space (a big big plus, especially in this area!!). Gas stove. Low utility cost because water and trash removal are included in your rent (so is ground maintenance and snow removal!!) Full-size washer and dryer in unit. Unit comes with one full-sized parking space right next to the elevator. There are guest parking spaces and electric car charging spaces you can reserve through the condo's online portal. So far they seem to be free but, of course, this can change at any time. Metered parking is also available during the week on the street. It's free on weekends/holidays and there's a parking garage 1 block away. Party rooms are also available for rent at extra fees. We used it for baby showers, birthday parties, going away parties, etc. GREAT AMENITIES: * Resort-style pool and hot tub (pool has a mini waterfall and lots of privacy) * Fitness center * BBQ and common ground area complete with gas grills and tables for tenant use * Underground bike storage * Underground, locked storage unit for additional storage (you'll need to supply your own pad lock) * Wired for Verizon Fios (if you want it) 1 block from Virginia Square metro station in Arlington. 3 blocks from Ballston metro station (2 min walk). 10 min walk to Clarendon. 15 min walk to Whole Foods and Trader Joes. 1 block from Gold's Gym and 5 min walk to One Life Gym. Giant and Harris Teeter are also walking distance away. Amazon Fresh, Costco and Whole Foods all deliver here. Kids mosaic water park is also nearby. SCHOOLS: We were just re-zoned this year into the BEST SCHOOL DISTRICT!! Online is says Ashlawn (not bad) but the actual school is Arlington Science Focus. OTHER BENEFITS: Water, trash, snow removal and condo fees are all included in your rent. Electricity is also really low even when running the air conditioning because of the position of the apartment in the building. A big plus! Extra storage is underground. It's where we kept our Christmas tree, skis, outdoor gear and other. It's private and secured with your keychain fab and a personal padlock with combination. Gas tends to be around $16/month. Electric around $80-$150 depending on how often you run the AC in the summer. Call or email for an appointment. Apartment available for move-in April 1. You must reserve your move-in date with the apartment complex for access to the move-in docks and elevators. This is a must. The cost is approximately $500 and then you get to use the loading docks for your arrival AND for the rest of your stay. This means any time you need to move something large in and out of the apartment, you don't have to pay to bring it in through the loading area. All you have to do is reserve the space online and it's yours without another charge. Current owners say they'll sell their T.V.s if you're interested. They're conveniently already attached to the walls and might be easier to buy than re-attach your own. No pets, sorry. Water, snow removal and trash are all covered in the rent as are your condo fees. Power bills are also really low because of the position of the apartment in the building. $400 move-in fee is not included and must be paid direct to the building. With your fee you'll get access to the elevators and the loading doc. You can NOT move in through the front door and you wouldn't want to anyway due to the double security doors.
