The space above the garage was remodeled in 2005 by raising the roof, making the ceilings consistent with the rest of the second floor (full 8-ft ceilings throughout second floor). Two bedrooms were added to the space above the garage, and a full bath was built in some of the space occupied by one of the original bedrooms, forming an on-suite/teen suite with the larger of the two new bedrooms. Permits are on file with the City of Duluth documenting this remodel. A bay window overlooking the backyard from the teen suite makes the remodel slightly more than the square footage of the garage. Also, the house was never sold in 2003 or 2006; we are the original owners since 1986.
