In 28 years, we're not aware of having ever had any kind of crime incident. Also, the neighbors really look after each other, while simultaneously giving each other plenty of privacy. There's a nice little creek in the back, and the corner of the lot borders forested federal park land. From there, it's an easy 400' walk to the Chattahoochee River. It's just a quick drive (or a sort of long walk) to The Forum, a very nice open air shopping mall. We regularly buy coffee and walk the dog there, saying hello to other folks and often pets, who do the same thing regularly as well. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area, as well as all other kinds of shopping and "suburban support" features.
