Built by Jim Walter in 1961 on a 50ft. X 150ft.- 180ft. Lot. Now it sits on (3) of those lots. In 2012 the home was raised 8ft.+-above ground on concrete pollens. We added a 16ft.X 24ft treated wood deck in 1992 over looking Bayou Manchac. It has an 8ftX 10ft. utility room underneath the house, and another room +- 16ft.X 32ft. On the side. It’s unfinished but outside is completely weather proof and is 8ft+- off the ground with underneath opened for whatever. All covered area is 6 in.-12in. thick of concrete. Heated and cooled by a 4ton Coleman package unit (central aircondition and heating) In 1992 I replaced the breaker panel and installed a 20 panel box. I've also replaced the wiring because of aluminum wire. I've added more receptacles, cable television jacks along with phone line, camera Jack. The Windows are double insulated vinal from window world in 2006. There are cypress trees along the bank in the bayou. The hot water heater was replaced in 2012. Plenty of shade from the Oaks to keep you cool during the day. Very peaceful and serene.
