Our rental is for an unfurnished room in a beautiful, modern 3 bedroom condo in the Monterey Hills/Highland Park area of Los Angeles. We are looking for a "roommate" to share our place as the private room would have a single person occupancy limit. My wife and I are in our mid 50's. I am a teacher at different colleges while my wife does accounts receivable and general office work for a seafood trade company. The condo includes hardwood floors, a private refrigerator for the duration of the tenant's lease, and convenient laundry facilities as well as common areas such as the living room, kitchen and balcony. The tenant would also have a "nearly" private bathroom. The condo is a shared unit with the owners, who would be storing and retrieving laundry and cleaning supplies in a closet in the tenant's bathroom, but would not be using the bathroom. The Muir Terrace condo complex contains nice amenities including a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and exercise room all of which include a separate bathroom with a shower. Also, the complex is a security building. Other attractive features of our location: We are close to downtown LA by freeway and by surface streets, we are 1-2 miles from the 110 freeway, and about 3-4 miles from the 710 freeway and about 15 minutes from the 210 and 134 freeways. We are also 5-10 minutes by car from the Light Rail public transportation, border the town of So. Pasadena and are close to the USC Medical School campus. Additionally, on our street is a grocery store and 5 minutes from our house is a post office. The area where we live is hilly and includes mostly condo complexes and a few single family homes. The initial lease term is 6 months, then the lease term changes to month to month. The prospective single person tenant would need to satisfy our qualification criteria for renting which we can send by email. This is a shared roommate living arrangement.
