Large room with private balcony overlooking the shaded (flowering trees and perennials) backyard, 2 large closets (1 cedar) in a beautiful brick home conveniently located in Hamtramck. All original woodwork with wood floors. Downstairs large living room, dining room, library, smaller kitchen with dishwasher and microwave. Upstairs 2 bedrooms and one guest/TV room. 10-15 minute drive anywhere in downtown Detroit. 1 parking space in detached garage. House cleaners come every 2 weeks for deep cleaning. I prefer to live with a responsible, tidy, drama-free, quiet single female or non-binary person. I need someone who can house-sit and cat-sit 4 indoor cats and several strays while I'm out of town, generally a week or two every month/every other month as well as most Sundays. You will need to be able to lift heavy cat litter buckets and navigate stairs easily. Feedings are mornings before 9 AM and Evenings between 4-7:30. Litter boxes need to be cleaned out at least every other day. I do them while I'm at home. I am an introvert and need a quiet space while I'm home, so periodic entertaining is fine, but no regular late-night partying. I don't plan to live with more than 1 person, so if your partner likes to stay over, please plan for no more than 1-2x/week or however much you want when I'm not around. I am relatively tidy, so I'd like to be invited to your current living space to see if we're a match. Clutter in photos is because my current roommate is in the process of moving out. Cats are fine, but no more than 2. I pay for cat food and litter. Bonus if you like to garden. No smoking inside, month-to-month at first to assess compatibilty. After 3 months, option to sign a year-long lease. You must be prepared to show pay stubs and provide landlord references.
