Lovely Victorian with floors of beautiful pumpkin pine and oak in the dining room. Landscaped extensively with a wide range of flowering shrubs and perennials and well maintained trees. Neighborhood Description The town of Hopewell is a charming, old town whose roots date back to the 1700's. The home of one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence lies within the borough of 2000 residents. There are several good restaurants, well-known antique stores and other boutique stores as well as one of the few compounding pharmacies left on the East Coast in the borough. The feel of the town is typical "small town" closeness with free summer concerts in the local park down the street, a small dessert theater and free movies played against the walls of the borough owned Victorian train station on summer evenings. The town was referred to as "Little Vermont" by the NYTimes. There are many Victorian 4-square houses as well as farm house style houses, and even a few Sears Kit Houses in town. The school system was ranked very high by NJ Magazine.
