This unit will be rented as fully furnished. It'll be move-in ready. It's a spacious condo suitable for a couple or a single professional. It's quiet and extremely well-insulated. Neighbors are super friendly if you do run into them (you rarely do). The building is conveniently located, within walking distance to two metro stations and several grocery stores. The start and end dates are flexible between July 10, 2025 and August 20, 2026. The owners are educators, who will be on sabbatical. This condo is located in Alexandria, VA. It's at the heart of the historical Rosemont Neighborhood (between Old Town and Del Ray, within walking distance to each). The condo is a well-insulated second-floor unit in a 3-level colonial-style complex. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and friendly. The condo itself is spacious and well-lit. It's conveniently located -- 7 minutes of walk to the nearest metro stop (King St. Metro, on Blue and Yellow lines), 10 minutes of walk to Whole Foods and 20 minutes to Trader Joe's, Harris Teeter, and Aldi, 8 minutes of walk to the Old Town, and under 30 minutes of walk to Del Ray (another chic neighborhood with great restaurants and interesting shops). Target and Kaiser Permanente are also in walking distance (30+ minutes for anyone with average health). If you are a biker, there is a Metro bike rental station across the street from our building and there are designated bike lanes everywhere. (We live a car-free life.) If you have a car, there is off-street parking with 3hr limit between 9am and 5pm from Monday through Friday, and without limits on weekends and holidays. Parking spots are plenty in the neighborhood, since a lot of us don't have a car and take the metro to work instead. There is also unlimited parking at all times one short block away. There is a private patio attached to the condo, which is accessible through the kitchen. (You can enter the unit this way, if you prefer not to interact with neighbors.) It's on the quiet and private side of the building. You can hear birds singing in the background when you have your morning coffee there. We are renting the condo out as fully furnished and fully equipped. (There is an energy-efficient washer-dryer set in the unit.) We are looking for responsible professionals as potential tenants (up to 2 occupants). The lease can begin as early as mid-July, 2025. Ideally, we want someone to rent the place for a year. The place is available until mid-August, 2026. As part of the application, we will request one written reference from your current employer (or the employer for whom you are about to start working) or your most recent landlord. We will also request your latest credit report (minus sensitive information). The rent includes water, garbage collection, gas, and electricity (up to $35/month). Wi-Fi is also included. The security deposit is one month of rent. Half of that is due upon the lease signing. The rest is due with the 1st month's rent, which is due upon receiving the keys to the property. The renter can pay by Venmo, PayPal, or conventional checks. The deposit is fully refundable at the end of the lease unless the renter has incurred cleaning and/or repair charges.
