The neighborhood was developed around 1906 by George Pope (Pope Avenue being on of the nicest streets) who was a contemporary of Lewis Ginter. . Mature landscape, sidewalks, and foot access to a CVS, coffee shop, wine shop, pizza parlor and neighborhood restaurants such as The Mill and NorthSide Grill make it a very livable neighborhood. A Garden Tour occurs each summer.
