THIS IS A 6 MONTH FURNISHED RENTAL STARTING IN May 2026. We will not 'just' be setting appointments for viewing without an explanation as to why you are interested, plus you will need to give a few days notice as we have tenants. We have a lovely and light-filled home in the Mt. Baker neighborhood of Seattle. This mid-century brick house sits up high with a territorial view. Genesee Meadows and Lake Washington are a 5-minute walk away, with a 15-minute walk to Columbia City and Light Rail, plus lots of bikes lanes too. Our house is very spacious with two floors. Upstairs, where you enter the house, the living room/dining room has an entire wall of windows, which overlook the back garden, with a view of the park. There is a wonderful deck off the dining room where we spend many evenings eating dinner. There is a full and bath on this floor, as well as two other rooms with good-sized closets, one presently being used as an office. Downstairs, there is a large primary bedroom with French doors opening out on to a huge deck, and a big a walk-in closet. The bathroom has a jacuzzi tub, a heated floor and walk-in shower. Plus, there is a separate den, again with French doors to the deck and garden. There is also a small sleeping area under the stairs, where our niece slept cozily for years. The back garden is a beautiful private urban oasis, where birds love to hang out and sing to us. It is mostly trees, shrubs, and perennial plants, but there is a small, dedicated organic veggie garden as well if you want to use it. We love this house with all our heart. Looking out the living room windows at the park during the day and the expanse of sky at night is such a pleasure. You can almost forget you are in a city. Except for the good parts, like seeing the lights twinkling from neighbors' homes. We live in a wonderful neighborhood, full of parks and green space, with Columbia City, a vibrant area with lots of amenities including a huge local food coop, the PCC, as well as lots of restaurants, music venues, several gyms, and even an independent movie theatre, just a 15-minute walk from our house. Link Light Rail will take you to the airport in 20 minutes as will going into downtown Seattle. Plus, Seward Park can be reached by either walking, biking, or taking a seven-minute drive along the lake. There are lots of places to swim, kayak, and paddleboard along the way. We are also close to the Capitol Hill, Beacon Hill, and Central district neighborhoods, which also have loads of places to eat and shop. . House will be on a 6 month lease with some flexibility, preferably starting on May 1st. We are out of the country. It will be available from May 1st, 2026 until October 31st 2026. Renters will be responsible for all utility payments. Owners will hire a management company for screening prospective renters, and a yard service for regular maintenance. We will require a 1-month security deposit and pet deposit (latter to be determined with manager) Absolutely no smoking in the house or attached garage.
