The Emma Sale Suite is a studio apartment in the Central West End, one of St. Louis' best walking neighborhoods. "Emma" provides a cozy home for up to two guests, offering everything you would expect and more. Sleep well on the apartment's top-quality Queen-sized bed. Cook as many meals as you want in the apartment's thoughtfully designed kitchen. Before your arrival, the Emma Sale Suite will be stocked with welcome teas and treats, freshly roasted coffee, and light breakfast foods to start your stay. You'll also find cleaning supplies and complimentary toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, Q-Tips, etc.). To keep our rates low, we do not replenish these items during your stay. "Emma" features dedicated high-speed internet access. The smart TV has Roku for streaming and an antenna for local television. The Emma Sale Suite is on the sixth floor of The Fremont, an historic building in the Central West End. This seven-story building has its original 1920s-era elevator. While the elevator is dependable and kept in good working order, it sometimes goes out. Be aware that you might need to use the stairs. Please note that there are six flights of stairs. We regret that we cannot guarantee elevator service to the Emma Sale Suite, though you'll usually have it. Smoking is prohibited in the apartment or anywhere on the premises. If you don't have your own renter's insurance, there is an additional fee of $10.50 per month for "Tenant Liability Insurance." Such insurance covers accidental or unintentional damages to the premises, but not to your personal possessions. LAUNDRY & HOUSEKEEPING Weekly housekeeping is included at a mutually-agreed-upon time. We will make the bed with fresh sheets, swap out dirty towels and linens, dust and vacuum. Housekeepers do not wash dishes or take out trash. For your laundry, a laundromat is available in the building's basement. PARKING Parking is first-come, first-served in one of three complimentary parking spots on the lot just east of and adjacent to the building. These parking spots are the closest to the front door of The Fremont. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION No need for a car! A major supermarket is across the street, with two other supermarkets a short walk away. Walk to St. Louis University, Cortex, Cathedral Basilica, City Foundry, IKEA and Grand Center. Forest Park is one mile west. One-of-a-kind historic architecture, restaurants, coffee houses and so much more are footsteps away. Transit is easy. Two bus lines cross at the intersection just outside the front door. It is a short walk south from the Emma Sale Suite to Metrolink, the city's regional rail system. From the Cortex Metrolink stop, it is a 25-minute ride to St. Louis Lambert International Airport. IS IT SAFE? Since all SF Shannon apartments are in the historic core of St. Louis, we occasionally receive the question: "Is it safe?" This question is impossible to answer, because we typically know nothing about the person asking it. One of the owners lives in a house one-half block from the Emma Sale Suite. She and her husband raised their three sons in this neighborhood, and have always felt perfectly safe. WHY THAT NAME? The apartment is named after Emma Sale.
