This is a river cabin on a real river, Shoal Creek. It is about 6 minutes from Exit 6 on I-44 (near Mercy Hospital). The 2 acre site is connected to NN Highway by a 50' wide strip of land, but we use a recorded easement thru the Rivers Bend Campground which is our neighbor, to access the house. We are connected to their water but the city of Joplin water line is in the NN right of way. The cabin has it's own septic tank. The property lies within a flood plain and has had water over the floor twice in the 10+ years we have owned it. We removed the carpet after the first episode. We have enjoyed and still enjoy this cabin. It is all electric with thru-wall style hear/air conditioning. With the exception of personal items, such as canoes, TV, radio/satellite TV, one chest of drawers, and some pictures, everything you see goes with the cabin.
