If so, then this apartment is the perfect fit for you. The location is fantastic and incredibly walkable: 2 minute walk to the Takoma metro station, around the corner from neighborhood treats such as Donut Run and Lost Sock Coffee, a block away from the Takoma Library, .3 miles to the main intersection in Takoma Park (with features such as Busboys and Poets, Takoma Bev Co, and Olive Lounge/Grill), and .4 miles to the Takoma Rec Center with tennis courts, pickleball courts, dog park, swimming pool, etc.). 12 minute drive to 495; ten minute drive to downtown Silver Spring, MD; ten minute drive to Petworth; and easy access to the metro to take you anywhere in the DC metro area! Nine foot ceilings and an open living room/dining room makes the space feel larger than it is purely based upon square footage. On-site storage is also included. Fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer, and dryer are 3 years old or younger and the HVAC system was installed in 2023. The bedroom also includes an Elfa built-in closet. This property features a private side yard; perfect for a dog to relieve itself before bed, your own grill, or a mini garden. The condominium provides a security gate and shared courtyard. Street parking is surprisingly easy, but if you prefer off-street parking, a space is available for lease from a separate lessor for $200 per month. Utilities: Water, sewer, and compost is included in rent. Renters are required to pay for electricity and internet. Parking: As mentioned above, street parking is an option and 90% of the time I have been successful in securing street parking on the block. Another option is an off-street parking space in the rear parking lot from a separate lessor for $200 per month. There is a spot in the rear parking lot available for temporary use, such as unloading groceries or contractors. Pets: Pets are permitted and require a one-time fee of $250. Smoking Policy: No smoking in the apartment. Renters are required to adhere to the Watkins Condominium Rules provided by me. Lease Term: This is a 12-month lease that becomes month to month starting in month 13. A multi-year lease is an option for reduced rent. Tenants are required to inform the owner of maintenance issues and the owner is responsible for maintenance.
