Cut and paste this link for HD video . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6GCNqQbPnU&feature=plcp What we love about our home..(written by: the owners of 408 Lakeport) * The natural winding driveway through the trees.* The charm of the gas lanterns. * Through the use of oversize brick on the homes exterior and using pastel cote on the brick and the plantings around the home gives our home a warm cottage feel.* As you enter the front door you have the feel of bringing the outdoors inside.* The hand-scraped, distressed hickory wood floors that look as new as the day we entered our home. Not only are the floors beautiful and unique, the floors never show that we have lots of little children running their toy cars and/or doll strollers across them.* In spite of the fact that our home is not really an open plan, the high ceilings, wooden ceiling in the main family room, tray ceilings in the bed rooms, wider staircases, wider arched door ways, seeing the lake from almost every room in our home give an open feel but you still have individual rooms, so, if you choose you can have your own space.* While in the large kitchen preparing holiday meals I can look through the arched doorway and see a beautiful stone wall and fireplace and hear the laughter of family and friends.* Early in the morning as the sun comes up you can see a reflection of the movement of the water from the lake on the ceiling and wall in the kitchen and family room.* Relaxing at the table in the kitchen nook & watching the many different birds at the feeders...along with our squirrel friends and sometimes a bunny or two. *A step up off the kitchen is a dining room/sunroom that was designed with wooden walls and ceiling, painted, stained and hand rubbed to give a unique look to a most loved area. This room opens to a large screened porch. This is the most used area when we have large gathering because it flows so well with the kitchen. You can chat with the cook in the kitchen while you nibble snacks from the over size kitchen bar area, eat at the large dining table while watching lake activity or just relax on the sofa or in a comfy chair and listen to the chatter of those you love. This room is also very cozy room for reading.*The screened porches and large balcony...our most favorite no matter what time of day or night. Eating breakfast, lunch or dinner, sipping a cup of coffee or tea with a friend or sunbathing on the balcony these area are so relaxing. You feel the calm of the lake after a long day at work.* The lake has provided us with many wonderful memories. Our children, grandchildren, family and friends have spent many hours on the pontoon boat, jet ski and kayaks. We love taking the pontoon boat out to see the fall colors and watching fire works on the lake. One of the most awesome sights was seeing a Bald Eagle catch a fish! Fishing from the pontoon or off the dock... nothing is more memorable than the look on you grandchilds face when he/she catches their first fish or Gramps face when he thinks he has landed a whopper of a fish and it turns out to be a large stick.* Seeing a storm coming across the lake is wild looking...seeing the caps on the water you would almost think you are looking at the ocean. We have seen beautiful rainbows over the lake and the sun coming up on the lake is a most beautiful sight but seeing a full moon on a clear night is the most awesome sight we have ever seen. It looks and feels like you can walk on the moonbeam! Now you might be asking yourself, if they love all this, why are they selling their home? The answer is simple... we want to build another dream home! A little smaller and located closer to our grandchildren. Life is an adventure!!
