Located just blocks from historic down town Salida and all that is has to offer (Out your front door hiking, biking, shopping, eating, live music, farmers market, river fun) one block to Safeway & one & 1/2 blocks to Natural Grocer. The Home features an east facing front porch for morning coffee and afternoon shade where you can while away the afternoon enjoying our habitat friendly front yard with flowers, apple trees, grape plants and some newly planted rasberry bushes to attract birds and bees alike. Inside you will find a hand crafted home inspired by a mix of Mid Century Modern and South Western warmth. As you walk through the front doors you will be greeted with a flex / office space, with 500 mbps down load and 20 mbps upload internet, leading to the Mid Century Modern inspired Living Room. Here you may want to kick back and watch your favorite shows on a brand new 44" Smart TV or spin some records from our curated Album Collection. The room acommodates 4-6 folks and features a breakfast/dinner bar open to our "French Country" inspired Kitchen. The clothes washer is in the kitchen and we dry the old fashioned way...a clothes line. The bathroom is also hand crafted and features a roomy rain shower. The bedroom is cozy but comfortable. The home represents our artistic selves and features local art, natural hand plastered walls, natural paint and adobe floors. This home is availble as a midterm rental property because we "the Owners" are taking care of one of our parents and we do alot of traveling when not helping my mother. The Backyard is available for your use but is reserved for the home owner to park their RV back there when they are in town. It is fenced and seperated from the rest of the property so that there should be minimum awareness of our presence. This is our Personal Home. In a past life we lived off the grid on an 80 acre property. During that time we built passive solar Strawbale Homes. The interior of this home reflects our natural building sensibilities. The interior finishes are Adobe Plaster, Natural hand rendered Lime paint and Adobe and Concrete Floors. This is our personal home! We are renting it as we care for an aging parent and travel. This property is intended to be a "Mid-Term" Rental. Rental term is intended to be 1 to 4 months, a longer term may be negotiated. As Such we entrust that you as the tenant care for the home as if it were your own or that of a friend or family member was allowing you to stay. Owner pays for water, electric, and internet and is included in the rent. This is a non smoking property. Tenants are expected to care for house plants, bird bath and collect owners personal mail and communicate with owner any problems as they arise. Parking is on street. Owner reserves the right to access the property for routine maintenance issues. Tenants have access to the entire home and the front and side yards the backyard is reserved for the owners private and exlusive use.
