Guests have access to all basement spaces and amenities (bedroom, bathroom, living space, workout area, laundry room, and kitchenette). The suite can be entered from the side of the house and through back door beneath our deck. Other things to note We live upstairs and while noise in the basement is pretty limited, it can transfer between the floors. We keep noise upstairs to a minimum and kindly ask that you do the same. There is not a full kitchen however a microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator, and coffee maker will be available for your use as well as basic utensils and dishes. We have a strict no smoking, no parties, and no pets policy. Any evidence of failure to abide by these rules will result in a $200 additional cleaning fee and 1 star review. We reserve the right to enter the suite at any time should we smell or suspect that there is smoking occurring during your stay, and you will be asked to cancel your reservation and vacate the property should that be the case. Quiet hours are from 10pm-7am. All items within the suite are accounted for. If something goes missing there will be additional charges incurred for replacement. The thermostat in the basement is shared with the top floor of the house. Space heaters and blankets are provided and we will not accept requests to change the temperature of our home, unless extreme weather circumstances arise (below freezing temperatures, ice, or snow). We keep the temperature set between 69 and 72 degrees at all times. The basement laundry room is the only laundry for both floors of the house. During extended stays we may coordinate with you to do laundry on occasion. Utilities included.
