Huge windows bring in tons of light. BATHROOM: nice appliances, updated plumbing, recent tile work. APARTMENT IN GENERAL: All utilities except cable/phone/internet are included. There are two large closets: one closet completely outfitted with shelves, and the other with hangers & shelves on the top: provides a lot of storage space. The trim is new. During the remodel, we redid all the electricity (dimmer switches in both living room and bedroom, plus GFCI plugs), put up new drywall & trim, plus we painted with with eco-friendly paint and put padding in the wall between living room and bedroom, so sound doesn't travel easily. We have two large 2000 BTU window AC units in both the living room and bedroom. Heat is provided and controlled by radiators throughout the apartment (bedroom, bathroom, and living room). The huge brand new windows are double paned and UV resistant. We truly made this unit "top-end!" THE BUILDING: has washers & dryers in the basement, and a common area. The other tenants in the building are very nice and friendly with interesting, varied backgrounds. THE LOCATION: truly could not be better. 5th street and Pennsylvania SE: 3 blocks to the Capitol. 2 blocks to Eastern Market. Bars, restaurants, market, gas station, post office, metro, and bank are all within a block. LANDLORD: lives locally, respects your privacy, communicative and responsive. All problems & issues will be addressed quickly. We need a security deposit of $1000 + $850 for April rent, and you'll need to sign a 6+ month lease. Your kitty is welcome, but no dogs.
