    Big Room for Rent in Petworth Rowhouse Available Immediately - $1225 Great for couples or bunkbed enthusiasts. Lease terms are flexible. This is a room in a lovely shared rowhouse. My room is actually three rooms: a bedroom (fits queen bed) with a closet, generously sized sunroom (great windows and view of the backyard) that has another small closet, and a small room that I use as an office. My housemate is a Return Peace Corps Volunteer; she works at a local independent business (vegan bakery, and restaurant). She keeps a busy schedule with work and athletic pursuits. The rent is $1225; the share of utilities is about $85 per month. The security deposit is $850. The house has hardwood floors throughout the main floor and upstairs. The only full bath is upstairs between the 2 bedrooms. The house also has a basement with lots private storage space, another toilet, and a washer and dryer. The house is in Petworth; the address is 415 Buchanan St NW. It is a really mellow block, and the neighbors are great. It is a 12 minute walk to the Georgia Ave/Petworth metro (green yellow). A bus stops right near the house that will take you to the metro, or downtown. I have a car and have never had trouble with street parking (the house is on an unzoned block so no parking pass required). Upshur St is about a 10 min walk, with a bookstore, pub, taco shop, wine bar, and Timber Pizza, a little farther down is a yoga studio, El Salvadoran restaurant, and a diner. Qualia Coffee, Yes Organic Market, and Annie's Hardware are a couple of blocks further. Pets are OK. We don't currently have pets but the property management company has approved pets for the previous tenants and does not have an issue with them at this place. Parking: this block and the next block are unzoned (no DC parking permit required) and finding parking has never been an issue for me. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
