SAVE money and prepare meals in the MODERN kitchenette with microwave, full-size refrigerator and portable counter top range/oven. Stay so FRESH and so CLEAN with the private laundry room with washer and dryer. STYLISH bathroom with full-size tub and refreshing shower. Fresh sets of towels are provided for your stay. 1. Information : Welcome to my garden apartment, Ladybird! I am so pleased to host you. Please respect my home, my neighbors and the beautiful surrounding nature. Please remove all shoes in the apartment. If you break or damage something, please let me know. At check-in,please provide a non-expired government ID. Anyone without a valid ID cannot occupy the apartment. For initial check-in, I will send you the door code via text on your day of arrival. Please park in front of the house. Please do not park in the driveway. Check-in is anytime after 4 pm. Check out is at Noon. If you require an early check in or late check out, please let me know. We will do our best to accommodate you! Please be advised that a $50 fee will apply on all early/late check out requests. Checkout Process: 1) Let me know what time you are leaving 2) Close and lock all windows 3) Turn off all lights and small appliances 4) Please clean all dishes and wipe down the counter 5) Please place all dirty linens/sheets/towels etc in the pillowcases in the bedroom 6) Report any damaged or missing items Temperature: The daily temperature of the house is 70 degrees. Extra blankets are in the closet if you are cold and open the windows/doors if you need fresh air. Please close all window/doors before leaving or vacating unit. Emergency Contacts: If you have any questions or concerns, please do In case of any medical emergencies or fire, please call 911. 2. House Layout We LIVE upstairs from the apartment so I'm available as much as you need but also RESPECT your need to have time to yourself. If you need any ASSISTANCE, please feel free to text me. You are welcome to use the backyard and grill for your personal use. Please clean the grill after use. 3. Household supplies - First Aid Kit 4. Are there any rules related to guests? Yes We are a quiet household. I will do my best not to interrupt you with our walking upstairs. We ask that you observe quiet hours after 10PM on Sun-Thurs and 12 midnight Fri-Sat. No one can occupy the unit overnight that is not on the lease without prior permission. 5. Kitchen You are welcome to use the kitchenette to prepare meals, snacks, etc. Please do not leave any food out that will invite uninvited pests. We are a pest free house. Please do not leave any appliances on while you are not in the unit. The instructions for all of the appliances are in the drawer. The garbage disposal is located above the sink. You are welcome to eat or drink any food that is in the refrigerator/drawers. Local restaurant menus are located in the top drawer. Recommendations are also included in this binder. Please help yourself to the coffee/tea that are in the drawers. Please feel free to use the dishes, cups, etc that are provided. Please wash all dishes before you vacate the unit. Cleaning supplies, garbage bags, paper towels and fire extinguisher are located in the bottom right drawer in the kitchen. The surface is strong but can be scratched. Do not clean it with any abrasive. When it cools, it can cleaned with the cleaner in the top right drawer and the non scratch sponge. 6. Appliances Free private laundry is available for all monthly reservations. The laundry includes a full sized washer/dryer. Laundry detergent/dryer sheets are not provided. 7. Garbage All trash can be brought to the front of the house and placed in the black bins. Trash day in Thursday. All recycling can be placed in the green bin. Please do not place the recycling in trash bags. Recycling day is Monday. 8. Parking There is plenty of on-the-street parking in front of the house. Please do not park in the driveway. 9. Security The apartment door operates using an unique, private passcode that will be given to at the time of your reservation. At night, there are motion-activatedsolar path lights from the driveway to unit apartment. There is also two sensor lights in the back of the house and when youaccess the apartment stairs. 11. Streaming Services? We have a ROKU on the TVs in the living room and bedroom which allows each guest to use their own streaming accounts. 12. Favorite Local Restaurants Voted the "Most Diverse City in the US" by NBC4, Gaithersburg is a melting pot of CULTURES with lots of super FUN things to do. Our RESTAURANT scene is amazing and world-class with so many options at your fingertips (American, Jamaican, Japanese, Thai, Ethiopian, Lebanese, Filipino, Italian, Danish, Indian, Indonesian, Peruvian, etc) We have 10 nearby SUPERMARKETS (Trader Joes, Whole Foods,MOMs Organic Market, Giant, 99 Ranch, Safeway and Weis Market (10 min walk). Bigbox stores like Costco, Sam's Club, Walmart and Target are about a 10 minute drive away. 13. Other points of interest Gaithersburg should be called the "City of Outdoor Space". Being surrounded by lots of MATURE trees and nearby lakes with paved paths gives lots of opportunities to take RELAXING walks and enjoy nature (various birds, beavers, fox, deer, geese, blue herons, sunbathing turtles). Take SHORT day trips (within an hour) to Harper's ferry, Butler's Orchard (for seasonal berry picking), Annapolis, Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park, Cunningham Falls, and HIKING and wine tasting events in Sugarloaf Mountain. Across the street, the Activity Center at Bohrer Park at Summit Farm has a 57-acre walking/biking park.
