    Newly remodeled ADU on the ground floor of my home within blocks of Columbia City shops and restaurants, a mile from Seward Park or light rail, with easy access to I-90 or I-5. Apartment has all new everything (practically!). The kitchen was just completely remodeled and has all new cabinets quartz countertops, and brand new stainless appliances (gas range, dishwasher, filtered water dispenser, fridge with icemaker, ). The cork floors throughout are new and sit over hydronic/in-floor heating. The unit has just been painted throughout, and it is really stunning! Furthermore, since it is partially underground (though there are stairs to enter), the unit stays remarkably cool in summer and well-insulated and warm in winter. The bedroom has a walk-in closet, ceiling fan, and a window with a view of the Seattle skyline. Full bathroom has jet tub/shower, marble tile floor and accents, and tons of built-in shelves/storage. Laundry facilities are shared with the homeowner. All utilities are included--gas, water/sewer/garbage, electricity, internet, security system, and routineyard maintenance. $50 dollar surcharge for utilities for a second person. There is a detached garage that you may either use for a smaller car or as shared storage space. There is also ample on-street parking. The unit has a separate entrance, however, given that it is in a home where the storage space, garage, and laundry facilities are shared with the homeowner, this is not a traditional apartment rental and somewhat more like a house-share with your own space. On rare occasions, access to a utility closet in the apartment may be required for service of the hydronic system and hot water heater for the whole home. I am an RN with progressive politics, seeking mature individual or couple with whom to share my home, ideally long-term, starting with a year lease. LGBTQIA-friendly. No dogs; well behaved, indoor-only cat/s considered on a case by case basis with a pet deposit. Inquire for more details! All utilities (water/sewer/garbage, electric, gas, Xfinity comcast (shared with homeowner), monitored security system, and routine yard maintenance) are included in base price, though there is a $50 surcharge for a second adult. One year lease, with potential for ongoing renewal if mutually agreeable. The last tenant was here for almost 8 years and only left because a plumbing issue required a total remodel of unknown duration. No smoking (tobacco or related products). On-street parking, or if you have a smaller car and wish to use the garage for parking, that is included in base price. Indoor-only cats will be considered on a case by case basis with a maximum of 2; dogs prohibited. Tenant to submit to a background check through EZLandlord, though other tenant screenings may be sufficient (such as Zillow). There is a more complete lease contract produced through EZLandlord that outlines additional terms and conditions.
