IMPORTANT NOTE: start time, end time, and lease length are all flexible! I need to go back east to help my 85 year old mother, so am renting out my home. I do NOT anticipate being in Seattle until summer of 2026 (barring some kind of emergency) so you would have the house to yourself at least until summer of 2026, and possibly longer. If this all works out, this could become a long term rental. My 1905 home is fully furnished and the interior has undergone a complete remodel while retaining the charm of the original home. One of the original houses in the Wallingford neighborhood, it has easy street parking and a huge front yard shaded by a hundred year old Gravenstein apple tree. My home is within 2-1/2 blocks to major bus lines, about a mile to the U District Light Rail Station, and close to I-5 and State Route 99. Most errands are easily done on foot - the grocery store, hardware store, library are all within a 5 minute walk from home, and the house is a 5-10 minute walk from all the food one could possibly dream of - restaurants from Thai to Irish, 3 types of ice cream and even a cat cafe. There's plenty of street parking, and almost always a spot or two in front of the house. Important details: * Rent is $2550 + utilities (gas heat) * No smokers, of any kind (that includes vaping, of any kind) * Fully furnished and move-in ready * Pets are possible, with additional deposit * Shoes off in the house preferred to protect 120 year old wood floors (slippers are provided) * Wonderful location: * 5-6 minute walk to QFC grocery store and the center of Wallingford * Easy access to both I-5 and Highway 99 (a.k.a. Aurora Ave N) * Within 2-3 blocks of bus lines 31, 32, 44, and 62 * 1.1 miles to the U District Light Rail Station * No application fee, because that's just weird, but I will need a background/credit check through this website * Move-in costs: first, last, and $1000 deposit * Renters would be responsible for all utilities, which tend to be on the low side. * No smokers or vaping, of any kind, of anything * Renters would be responsible for mowing the yard (nothing drastic, just keep it looking reasonable), and picking up fruit as needed (plum tree in parking strip, apple tree in front yard). * Pets are possible, with an additional reasonable fee for general wear and tear. * Renter agrees to keep the premises reasonably clean, and to return it to initial state of clean upon end of lease.
