Perfect for the travelling nurse or construction worker. Located about 20 miles north of Kokomo, Indiana. Misthaven Resort is an adult, 18+ campground that is open year 'round. This particular RV is on site 19, and has the standard fare kitchenette, and single bedroom with double bed and bathroom. Also has an oversized wood deck. Available parking for one vehicle, and also has the standard fire ring, picnic table and includes an outdoor grill. This unit is a short 45-second walk to the restrooms and showers, which are open all year 'round, and cleaned twice a day. The property is managed by two owners who also live on-site. Misthaven Resort is an extremely quiet, extremely clean adult campground, and we simply do not tolerate all the problems that go on at most campgrounds: loud vehicles, loud stereos, fighting, drunken brawls, drugs, police calls, crime and all the rest. Although the campground itself is open year 'round, the water situation is not. We are in a freeze zone, so sometime between mid-October to mid-November we shut the water off to the campground so the pipes don't freeze. We do, however, as previously stated, have restroom and shower facilities that are open all year long, as well as access to an outdoor spigot for filling up water jugs when needed. This particular RV for rent has cold running water and a small restroom, but does not have a water heater. Mostly this unit has water for commode use and for handwashing and dish washing. The electric is included with your rent, as is the water, for the length of time that the water is on. We do sell propane for those wishing to purchase tanks of propane for use. We've found that most people get by through the winters by using the microwave for cooking and by using the provided shower and restroom facilities. If you are a traveling worker seeking work at the Kokomo battery plant, know that we already have a healthy mix of other tradesmen and ladies currently living on the campground. Electricians, welders, pipefitters, roofers, plumbers, crane operators..... all of them on-site will tell you that this is the best campground there is because we are so quiet, so clean, and very respectful. So, we offer this RV here on our campground for the off-season. You do have other choices, of course. There are other campgrounds. Not many campgrounds remain open all winter long this far north, and the ones that do tend to pack you in like sardines. Our campsites tend to be two to three times larger than most campsites at most other campgrounds. And if you're looking at a local motel, expect to pay close to $900 - $1000 PER WEEK. Then, be prepared for the non-stop fights out in the parking lot, the crime, the noise, prostitution, drugs, loud stereos and police calls to quell the disturbances, not to mention the constant worry over your vehicles getting broken in to and all your tools stolen. We don't tolerate ANY of that at Misthaven Resort. There is a $500 cash deposit due and first month's rent due upon signing. No pets of any kind. Owner pays the electric and supplies the water (until such time that the water to the campground is shut off, generally between mid-October to mid-November). Owner dumps the waste tanks as needed. Tenants use the provided shower and restroom facilities when the water to the campground is shut off. Unit is big enough for one person. Unit is too small to house two mor more people long term. Tenant can have guests, BUT THEY MUST CHECK-IN AT THE OFFICE SO WE KNOW WHO IS ON THE PROPERTY AT ALL TIMES. No one under the age of 18 is permitted on the property. Renter MUST follow all rules as they relate to quiet times, cleanliness, respecting other guests, etc. Insubordination, disrespect, loudness, speeding through the campground, destruction or dirtying of equipment or restrooms and all other forms of disrespect will not be tolerated. Renting an RV is NOT like renting an apartment. There is no lease, and there is no eviction court process to remove problem renters. The rental experience is more like renting a motel room.
