Refrigerator and stove are provided. The cottage is on a private driveway in the tranquil Sierra Madre foothills. There are 8 "packing cabins" dotting the length of the drive. They were once used for accommodations at the base of Mt. Wilson trail. This is cottage "C." The house is compact, around 400 square feet, and has high ceilings and large windows. The yard is approximately 500 square feet, with a patch of grass, brick walkways and a wood patio deck. The yard is enclosed with a 6 foot privacy fence and gate. There is a self-sufficient stone goldfish pond as well. Coin-op laundry is located behind the house. The cottage is in a walkable community, surrounded by nature. It's a mile north of downtown Sierra Madre, where there are restaurants and shopping and many hiking trails are nearby. The surrounding streets are lined with craftsman homes, bungalows, and river rock walls. Historic Mary's Market Cafe is a block away. There are two entrances to the cottage: a flight of stone stairs from the lower parking area, or up the driveway, which is an incline, to the front gate.
