Space is for 1 person only This is a month to month rental but ideally looking for someone who has some flexibility to stay longer but can revisit month to month. We would be unable to give a hard commitment of longer upfront. Our current tenant will be giving the space a clean on 5th/6th of Jan so won't be showing until we can organize with current tenant of room and tenant of house. It will likely be end of week of 5th and after. TBD on case by case Move in date is 2/1/26 Images included represent the space but are older pictures. If you come for a viewing you will find it slightly different. This is a simple but really nice rental. Rental is for 1person only Super nice/minimal/clean/well lit/spacious room for rent in a private home. Room has private outside entrance separate from main house. Has small closet and its own full private bathroom. Wooden floors, good light all day and sweet view of backyard, situated on a nice piece of land. Room comes with minimal furniture (mattress, 2 dressers, desk). Room also has small Lanai with countertop where you can work from. The room includes access to laundry room right next door to room. We have Wifi, however it can be choppy every once in awhile, especially if its raining a lot. Though it is mostly reliable. Must be comfortable without a kitchen or we are happy for you to set up an outdoor situation if needed. There's a makeshift sink next to room with a counter where there is space to setup cooking. Small fridge included. For the sink area, we use a porcelain refillable water jug that we use to clean dishes. Underneath catches the gray water and needs to be kept an eye on to dump periodically so it doesn't overfill. We can talk more about this. You must be responsible for collecting and hauling your own trash The occupants of the main house are a locals. Born and raised on Big Island and easy to get along with. This is not a party house although its ok for you to have guests from time to time. Our ideal renter can go with the flow, considerate, cleans up after themselves, friendly when interacting with folks in the main house. Must be mindful of not having any food kept indoors that is not in an airtight container. There is a small air conditioning unit. Please turn off when you leave the space and only keep on during hottest part of day. Utilities are included in rent but if there is over usage we will ask that you cover the difference. Please be mindful and considerate. Most of the time, you ultimately have the entire side of the house/land to yourself. It's quiet, peaceful and situated on a piece of land that will offer you a lot of outdoor space. It's only a 5 minute drive to Hilo Town, 10 min by bike.. Its pretty central, close to all you need. We love pets but no pets are allowed for this rental Not the best set up for children either Viewing availability varies. I just had to add something bellow to complete listing. Refundable deposit to hold room prior to moving in and will be returned within 72 hours of move out. Any damages, left dirty, eviction, etc will result in portion or all of deposit refund being used. We kindly ask you clean the space very well before you leave. We can talk more about this. -No smoking (420 ok) -Utility's included (overuse of utilities will incur extra charge) -Washer/dryer (bring your own detergent) -No pets -No loud music after 10:00 -No parties (a few guests ok for low key get together) -Rent due on 1st of month (preferably paid by Zelle or Venmo if you dont have Zelle) -Any mistreatment of space, land or folks who live in main house is cause for eviction and deposit will be kept to cover any remaining rent for rental period agreed upon. We have had our share of tenants take advantage or overstep rental agreements. We are very easy going and kind but please come here with consideration and respect. We wont put up with any mishandling of our space. We offer a very peaceful space for you to come and spend some time so please honor us and your time here and we will do the same. Mahalo!
