Hello Everybody! My name is Trevor Steger. My wife Jennifer and I own a duplex at 441 Fillmore Ave in NE Minneapolis. We are looking to rent out the bottom half of our duplex. Pictures show the unit. The first three pictures show the living room. The next three show the kitchen. Then two pictures show the first bedroom. Then three more pictures show the second bedroom. Two pictures for the bathroom. Two pictures for the entry way. And then we have a bunch of exterior photos. Living above you in their own unit are David and Leila, they have been wonderful neighbors. They are very kind and very helpful and very easy to live next to. They are pretty early to bed and pretty early to rise and live quietly. We would like to find people who have similar lifestyles and waking hours to live below them. Everyone is happier when they get along well with their neighbors, and we would like both them and you happy in your homes. The home has both a front and a back porch to sit out on and enjoy a pleasant morning, as well as a concrete patio out back for having an outside table or dining area. We do allow and encourage pets in the lower unit where you will be renting, however our neighbors on each side have dogs who bark on occasion. So if your dog barks when he/she hears other dogs bark it may not work out, as we need to consider David and Leila upstairs. So we would like to meet and approve any dogs before signing. Our pet fee is $75 a month for the first pet or $100 for two, with a two pet limit. We love pets! It's just that they are hard on a home, so we request an additional fee to help with that. As for utilities, we cover water and trash. Gas and electric are split, so you pay for what you use, and David and Leila pay for what they use. We have in unit laundry so you will not need to share or go down to an old basement to use it. We also have an in unit dishwasher. We do require renters insurance for all of our renters. It is extremely inexpensive, but it makes sure both of us are protected if anything were to happen. You can find renters insurance at. Our little neighborhood at 441 Fillmore is fantastic. It is a cozy, tucked-in neighborhood with dead end streets, so it is nice and quiet with little to no thru traffic. Our home is also just one block from the big, beautiful 8-acre Beltrami Park, and just four blocks from the even larger Northeast Park! Beltrami has walking trails, a wading pool, and sport facilities including basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, and bocci ball. It also has open green space, and a playground. Outside of being right next to beautiful parks, our home is also just blocks from - Three coffee shops - Spyhouse Coffee, Dogwood Coffee, and Five Watt Coffee. - Seven breweries - Bauhaus Brew Labs Brewery, Able Seedhouse + Brewery, Sociable Cider Works, Indeed Brewing Company, 612 Brew, Headflyer Brewing, and Minneapolis Cider Works. - Six Gyms - Anytime Fitness, and Snap Fitness, Titanium Performance, Sweat with Jess, North Strong Nordeast, and Los Campeones Northeast. - Six Yoga Studios - Corepower Yoga, NKB Yoga, Yoga Garden, Everyday Miracles, Yogafit Studios, and Dragon Lair Performing Arts. - One ice cream shop - MN Nice Cream. Oh, and all sorts of little cultural eateries and grocery stores, a library, and everything else Central Ave has to offer. Be to downtown Minneapolis in a five minute drive, or walk to the Stone Arch Bridge, Dinky Town, Boom Island Park, or Nicollet Island, all of which are within 1.5 miles of home! Or walk to any of the seven breweries that are less than 1 mile away! As you can tell, we love NE Minneapolis, and think you will too! We have had many people reach out. Please, if you have read this, include the word "elephant" in your message to us as well as a reason you think this is a good fit for everyone. We will prioritize anyone who includes "elephant" because it proves to us that you have taken the time to read and consider what we have taken the time to write, and we really appreciate that. We want this to be a good fit for everybody! Please also share a little information about yourself and anyone else who is planning on renting the unit so we can get to know you a little bit (working? a student? schedule? hobbies? lifestyle? etc.) Contact us for a link to our application! We will not be providing showings to anyone who has not filled out the application. Jenn and I both work standard hours during the week so will probably need to be after 6:00pm on weekdays or will need to be on weekends. If you are interested in taking care of lawn and snow we will reduce rent by $50 a month, and we would prefer to find someone interested as it will save me from having to drive over to take care of it. We do not currently have garage space available, but if it is important to you we may be able to make it happen. Otherwise we can provide off-street parking for at least one vehicle. Please reach out with any questions! We hope to hear from you soon! Thanks for reading! Trevor Owner pays for water, sewer, and trash. Seller pays for internet, gas, and electric. You have a separate meter, so you pay for what you use and David and Leila upstairs pay for what they use. We allow pets, but have a two pet limit. We request $75 monthly for one pet or $100 for two pets. We love pets! But they are hard on a home, so we request some additional rent to cover that. There is no smoking allowed. We have off street parking available and if a garage space is important to you we may be able to clear out a stall. Please just let us know and we will try to make it happen for you. We would charge $100 a month.
