Hello prospective roommates! We have an opening in our 3 bedroom 2 bath house located in Normal Heights just two blocks from Adams Ave available for move in 11/5 or after. The location is great, minutes to Normal heights, North Park, University heights, and Mission Valley. This is a month-month lease and you have the option to stay short term or long term. The lease on this house will be up in 9 months and we will need to move to another house at or before that time. If you are a good fit there will be the opportunity to move into the new house as well. About the house: This house was built in the 1930s and retains a lot of its original charm but lots has been updated. There is a large kitchen, large living room, and dining room. It has a large garage as well as a shed in the back so plenty of storage! There is also a washer/dryer in the house as well as a great sized back patio and yard with a fire pit. The house is fully furnished except your bedroom which you will be responsible for furnishing. If you have furniture to contribute we might be able to make something work :) About us: We are two friends in our late 30's, one male and one female. Vibes around the house are very laid back, respectful, and fun. We both work most days but we don't have a set schedule. Generally we tend to go to bed earlyish and wake up earlyish (maybe around 10 or 11p and wake up around 7a). I own a rental business that has me working sporadically so I'm gone quite a bit and Danielle is a therapist who is often at the office. We are both very outdoorsy and are into lots of hobbies. Mine include snowboarding, surfing, paddle boarding, camping, climbing, going to the gym, scuba diving, reading etc. Our politics are liberal although we are not actively involved in anything political and don't talk politics much. We are social and will occasionally have people over but this is definitely not a party house and want to keep it that way. We like to keep things clean and organized around the house, don't have pets, and don't plan on getting any. We want our house to be the sanctuary a house should be when at home. About the room: The room is 12.5x10 and is plenty large enough for a queen bed and some furniture. It has an overhead fan, lots of light, a decent sized closet, and a window A/C unit. The bathroom will be shared with Danielle and has a shower and tub. You will be street parking which there is plenty, and can occasionally park in the driveway for unloading groceries etc. About you: We are ideally looking for someone in their 30s, or 40s male or female doesn't matter (sorry, no couples and no pets) We are also looking for someone who shares our values for a clean and relaxed house and it would be great if we have some shared hobbies/interests. Someone who is generally on a similar sleep schedule to us and won't be up late making a lot of noise and someone who is willing to share in the basic house responsibilities (dishes/cleaning/etc). Your rent will be $1,230 per month along with a share of utilities which averages between $100-$150 per month (that includes gas and electric, water, sewer, trash, and internet). The lease will be month to month as previously mentioned but there will be an option to move to the new place once we find it. Please reach out with some info about yourself as well as links to any social media/etc. My insta is @Jessecurrie. If it looks like you could be a good fit, we will schedule a video chat before meeting in person. We look forward to hearing from you! Month-to-month lease
