    What's special

Up in the treetops and just around the corner from two express trains, this bright, airy, pre-war two-bedroom in a landmark (elevator) building has ten-foot ceilings, original French doors, a fireplace, cast-iron tub, and picture and bay windows with open W/N/E views. The apartments old world sense of scale extends to the separate eat-in kitchen (complete with new granite counters and stainless GE appliances). Both the front room, which can double as a spacious study/guest room, and the master bedroom can easily accommodate king size beds and multiple dressers. The living/dining room has an entire wall of windows that frame an eight-foot pull-down movie screen (along with ceiling mounted projector and Dolby Surround Sound system). Theres lots of storage as well: three giant closets and a bike room in the basement. Harlems Sugar Hill/Hamilton Heights historic district is filled with beautiful, century-old buildings. And within just two to three blocks there are multiple supermarkets, cafes, cocktail lounges, juice bars, Japanese, Indian and Ethiopian restaurants. If youve never lived right next to a station with multiple subway lines on different levels, you have no idea of the speed with which you can count on getting virtually anywhere. Its two stops15 minutesto midtown. If the A is running with delays, the D will get you there and vice-versa. City College is just up the street and Columbias Morningside, Medical and Manhattanville campuses are all between 10 and 15 minutes away. The Village is a 25 minute train ride. I was on the cooperative board for ten years and will be happy to walk you through the quick approval process as well as any potential renewals after the first year. There is no brokers fee. I will split the non-refundable $400 application/credit check fees with a qualified applicant. You also have the option to rent the apartment semi- or fully furnished.
