This house has been in my family since my parents purchased it in 1956. My father was an interior designer and in 1968 an architect friend of his Charles Schiff designed a remodel that opened up the main floor and added a larger dining room with an adjoining deck. A large deck was added to the back of the house as well. An expanse of glass runs across the south and west side letting light stream into to dining and living rooms. The design work received rave reviews for changing a plain mid century design into a work of art. The Seattle Times ran a pictorial in the December 1968 living section complete with before and after photographs.
