The location is truly special, massive redwoods right in the backyard and surrounding the property, plus a lovely orchard and garden that made the whole place feel peaceful and private. It's an unbeatable home base for exploring the area: Moonstone and Luffenholtz beaches are just down the street, Trinidad, Sue-meg State Park, Arcata, and Eureka are all within a 5-20 minute drive, and Redwood National and State Parks are just to the north, where we spent a full day hiking through absolutely stunning old-growth forest.The house itself was spacious and comfortable, giving us a relaxing retreat to come back to after busy days of exploring.
