The rest of this old Portland house is shared with the owner, 65 year young male who has lived in the neighborhood for 27 years. This is a quiet and cozy house with shared living room, tv room, well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Freshly redone oak floors on the main level (living room), Fir floors on the rest of the first floor. Laundry is in the basement with access to street level. The house overlooks the bike boulevard on Going street two blocks off Alberta St, with many eateries, pubs, galleries and groceries within walking distance. The private backyard is above street level for lots of privacy and has a mature vegetable garden, plantings, berries and quince tree. It's a great place to relax and watch all the different bird varieties that frequent the yard. There is also a patio over the garage that is a great spot to drink your tea or coffee, people watch and chat with neighbors. All in all a quiet refuge nestled in an active neighborhood. Would prefer at least 6 months minimum, but no less than 3 months. a year or longer can be negotiated. The house is no smoking, outside smoking is fine. Renter will be responsible for their own kitchen cleaning and dishes, twice monthly bathroom (alternating) and cleaning your own space. Would prefer limited overnight guests, but gatherings are always welcome. Main request is being respectful and responsible.
