Delightfully situated as a semi-rural "bedroom community" of the larger city of San Diego in southern California, Ramona gently combines the amenities of a larger community with small-town charm. With a population of approximately 40,000, Ramona is the fastest growing unincorporated town in San Diego County. Lying inland, Ramona enjoys a more seasonal climate than most of San Diego County. Warmer in the summer (average 90 high - 53 low) and cooler in the winter (average 67 high - 35 low). Another Ramona advantage is waking up to a blue sky in the mornings; because it's far enough from the ocean to escape coastal cloudiness in the mornings and evenings, thus giving Ramona it's nickname "Valley of the Sun".
