We are looking to rent our home (furnished) for the duration of our sabbatical abroad (mid June through December). Our house is in the La Mesa Village, two blocks away from the historic downtown (shops, restaurants, coffee shops, Farmers markets every Friday, Sprouts grocery store 1 block away). Zillow walkscore of 91/100 ("walker's paradise"). Trolley stop and bus stops just a few blocks from the house. We also have two different community parks within walking distance (one of which was just redone within the year). The house itself is a historic home that has been remodeled inside and out. 3 bedroom, 2 bath home - currently set up as a primary bedroom, shared children's bedroom (2 beds) and office - though we can add our sleeper sofa to this room if desired. We have a detached, finished room that can accommodate visitors or serve as another office. Kitchen was installed 3 years ago - it is open, bright and has lots of counter space. We have a brand new covered rear deck (which is basically functional living space almost year around in San Diego!) and a gas fire pit in the back yard. We are hoping to find someone (or a family) to rent our place for the duration of our sabbatical abroad (mid June through December). Our home has a washer & dryer, dish washer, smart TV, fast WiFi, a grill and many other amenities. Utilities included. Utilities included in rental price included electricity (though additional costs for high electricity months may be required), internet, trash and water. We are looking for someone to stay from June 2025 through December 2025. No pets allowed. Regular cleaning available for additional fee (arranged at cost). No smoking allowed.
