Master suite with king-sized bed, second room with 2 twin beds, queen-sized pull out sofa with memory foam mattress in the living room, full kitchen and tile throughout. Over the years we dedicated A LOT of time to finding "the right place" for an amazing, relaxing vacation. We were amazed and overwhelmed at how many options there were when looking for a beachfront experience. Hopefully sharing with you what we learned will help you decide the best place to stay - whether it's in our unit or not: There are many islands off the southwest coast of Florida. One set of islands that is most popular forms a crescent shape - it starts with Marco Island at the southern most end and ends with Captiva Island on the northern most end. Estero Island - also known as Fort Myers Beach- is located directly in the middle! Fort Myers Beach (FMB) is approximately 7 miles long. There are two bridges that lead into the island - one on the north end and one on the south end of the island. The north end is where "Times Square" is located - it is full of restaurants and bars and a very active part of the island. The south side of the island is where many of the "sky rise" type resorts and hotels are located. We wanted a quiet residential feel - yet with the convenience of easy access to the "fun!" That's how we found Seaside AllSuite Resort! We are located in the middle of the island - surrounded by private homes to either side of us and the resort only has 50 units (not too big & not too small). There is a beautiful community pool, a grill area and tiki hut on the beach. Sometimes we cook a meal in our unit and picnic on the beach, other times we grill outside and eat by the pool. The options are endless - having a Publix located across the street is extremely convenient too! There are SO many amazing places to eat - all within walking distance. The island also has a local trolley which takes you up and down the island and one stop is directly outside our resort.
