On rainy days, you can still hang out on the porch. Or if it's chilly, you can build a fire in the original Rumford fireplace and grab a good book. It won't be long before the bricks radiate deep, comforting heat that will make you long for a series of rainy days. And if work should call, the Wi-Fi is high speed and ready to support you. You might veer toward keeping this all to yourself, but the cottage loves being shared with family and friends. Go ahead, let them in on your secret once in a while. But remember, there is a gate at the top of the driveway if they fall too deeply in love with your sanctuary. They'll understand. They've been there. Eaton Cottage is quintessential Maine - from an era where hard working families traded fast paced cities for late spring, summer and early fall (the leaves are amazing) in coastal Downeast Maine. She remains true to her original design. The interior and exterior woodwork, fireplace, stained glass, privacy and views of the property and cottage have been preserved for more than 115 years.
