This is a beautiful wooded private lot high up on the desirable west side of the island, yet only 1/4 mile down to West Side Rd. See the lights of the coast of this island from the cabin and the coast of Vancouver Island from Victoria to Sydney BC. View international waters and shipping lanes where huge freighters silently move through Haro Strait on their way to Vancouver, BC and Alaska. Incredible sunsets. The sound of Orca whales echo off the cliffs to the south. Camping cabin complete with bathroom, propane stove with oven, propane refrigerator, sink, water heater, and manufactured fireplace. There's a bathtub in the sleeping loft up the wooden ladder. One bedroom installed septic system, which passed a recent inspection. Close to Whale Watch Park and San Juan County Park (boat launch). There are two good sites for a house on this lot, which goes from High Haro Rd. down to West Side Road—one at the top near High Haro Rd., and a spectacular view site where the camping cabin now sits. An orchard produced apples, plums, cherries, raspberries, and cucumbers a few years ago. The fence has been trampled down by deer, so no orchard left, but the potential is there. The cabin is not plumbed down the hill. We had hoses down the hill connected to the pipes in the cabin as we were only there at vacation times. The pipes are in need of repair. The well-water is shared with about 12 owners who are part of a very responsible association that maintains the well and the road (annual fee of $300./year).
