Uptown New Orleans, great spot for Mardi Gras, located 3 blocks from the street car on St. Charles Ave. and 4 blocks from Magazine streets Mardi Gras parads, shopping and Art Galleries. 4 blocks from Napoleon Mardi Gras parades. 4 amazing restaurants, Upperline, La Thai, Le Crepe Nanu, and St. James Cheese Company are within 2 blocks along with an amazing Ice cream parlor, The Creole Creamery, and a frozen yogurt shop next to CVS. Gracious Bakery is a local coffee shop and confectionary with amazing baked goods as well as breakfast and lunch and a block away. CVS is a block away with anything you might need and open 24 hours. Zara's supermarket is a block away and is a small family owned grocery store with great Po-Boys. The Kingpin is a small dive bar with an Elvis flair that a lot of locals hang out in and located a block away. There is also a Chase bank located a block away with 3 ATMs for all your banking needs. Basically you never need to leave a 2 block radius if you'd like but New Orleans has so much more to offer. 4 blocks away on Magazine St. is another dive bar called Le Bon Temps Roule's that has live music every night.
