I'm renting out my second floor apartment at 487 East Street. It's two bedrooms and one bath. The apartment looks out onto beautiful Jocelyn Square Park, one of New Haven's hidden gems. The location is convenient to Science Hill and Yale's main campus (I walk or bike there every day going to work). There are several things that make this a nice place to live: -T-Mobile high-speed internet is included in the rent. -In-unit laundry, which is included in the rent. -I installed a 24 inch dishwasher in the kitchen. In my experience, most New Haven apartments don't have this. They either have no dishwasher or an 18 inch dishwasher. A 24 inch dishwasher is worlds of difference from an 18 inch one (trust me!). -I put a huge, high-quality sink in. This workhorse is 33 inches wide and 10 inches deep. I decided long ago that I always wanted to be able to easily wash a dutch oven, crockpot, or wok in my sink without doing gymnastics. -When I pulled up the 1980s-esque laminate, I was delighted to find vintage hardwood floor underneath. Some friends helped me refinish it over a weekend and now it glows! -There is a backyard that you are free to use for grilling and socializing. -It is recently renovated. As I lived there, I put a lot of care into the renovation. I hope that you enjoy living there as much as I have! -The apartment can come furnished if you would like. Let me know if this is of interest. Owner pays for internet, water, and sewage. Tenant is responsible for gas and electric. 12-month lease preferred.
