The room is available March 15th (slightly flexible) and gets beautiful afternoon sunlight from Southeast facing windows looking out to a corner lot which means no neighbors directly in your space. Your Room: The room is about 8x10, unfurnished or I can leave the bed, dresser, and shelf for you, hardwood floors, quiet, and has an actual closet (I know!)! Pretty light, tree directly outside one of the windows so it'll be green in the spring and has cute birds too. What else do you get? Shelf space in the kitchen pantry and fridge! A dishwasher! A super awesome gas stove! 2 bathrooms (I know!)! Washer/dryer on our floor that isn't coin operated (I KNOW!)! Bathroom space you share with only one other person with updated fixtures! A back porch with 2 Adirondack chairs and a hammock! Off street parking (and it's free!)! A backyard (it's mostly like a square of dirt, but it's our square of dirt!)! Storage space! etc etc etc. Also, it's the best shower pressure I've had at any place I've rented. Lots of books and TV with netflix/hbo/disney+/hulu and some free-standing weights and other work out stuff in living room. Lots of kitchen appliances including air fryer and blenders. About us: We are 3 mostly international women, all professionals/academics, ranging from our mid 20s to mid 30s. We're pretty quiet (in terms of how we don't throw ragers or whatever in the house), friendly, super laid back people. We have fun chats in the kitchen and the occasional round of mario party or watch a show together, but also we're pretty independent- we do all like our space from time to time and we respect one another's privacy. All of us like to cook and will offer to share whatever we've created pretty regularly! I share whatever beer or wine I have, we have a drink and a snack here and there on the porch and watch rain storms before they chase us back into the house, etc. Location: We're on Fenno Street in Cambridge so take a look at where that is in relation to where you need to go for your daily routine. We're on 2 bus routes, we're a 15-20ish minute leisurely stroll from Harvard Square (you can make it in 8-12 if you power walk it) and a 10-15ish mosey to Porter (which has a Star Market, Cambridge Naturals, some booze store, CVS, Target, etc.). The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and right by the fire house (don't you feel safer already?). There are 2 parks within 3 minutes walk. About you: You are careful about covid (we can talk about what that means!). You're pleasant and looking for relaxed roommates who are definitely not demanding, you can pay the rent, you identify as a woman or nonbinary (lgbtq friendly house and left of center). You are also relaxed! You don't chain smoke in the house! You do previously established, mutually agreed upon chores! You don't leave messes in your bathroom! Unfortunately, we cannot take couples (sorry!). As far as pets go, we have a very sweet kitty and a loving, quiet, chocolate lab and cannot take more. Drop us a line, tell us a little about yourself! Rent due around signing is prorated for March as well as last month ($1000) with a $1037 security deposit and then your first month will be $1000 on April 1st. The lease ends at the end of June with the option to renew. Utilities and internet are shared and not more than $100 a month.
