There's an uncrowded seating arrangement around a Persian rug with low, 10'-long Zen-like sofa and chaise; swivel rocker upholstered in colorful recycled sari fabric; leather ottoman; and several small tables and attractive lamps. Opposite is a low credenza with TV for streaming services. Woodstove only for use by those comfortable with fire making. (2) Adjacent kitchenette with window and partly open to living along one side. Kitchenette has excellent lighting; good counter and cabinet space equipped with dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, etc.; a smaller, full-service refrigerator/freezer; deep sink; microwave, toaster-oven broiler (not seen in photo), coffee-maker, crockpot, two-burner electric cooking surface, and electric skillet. No range or d/w. (3) Small bedroom one step up from the living, with queen bed and good but not large closet. At one end are a weight bench and free weights on a large, clean cushioned mat; these don't obstruct bed or closet access but could be removed if needed. (4) Compact skylit bathroom with excellent lighting and storage, vanity with one sink, shower stall, and toilet. (5) Bright cheerful study (or dining space) one step down from hallway. Room has three exposures and blinds on all windows; long built-in maple worktop, chair and ottoman. (6) Finally, there's a private exterior patio on the s-w side with tables and chairs. No w/d in unit, but access to those in house will be accommodated. Baseboard gas heating throughout, wood-burning stove, 2 ceiling fans. Windows and skylights have pleated shades (in some cases darkening and insulated) or curtains. Excellent highspeed wifi. Exterior parking within sight of the casita with access to entry by a lighted brick walkway. Two things to note: The casita is attached to larger main house, which will be occupied but is functionally independent except for shared washer/dryer. The two are separated by an interior door with latches on both sides and are buffered by the mass of the garage and a minimally used interior house room. Separate exterior entrances on opposite sides of the house. A cat will have been resident in the casita for two weeks over Christmas only. SHORT TERM LEASE ONLY (mid-Jan to mid-May or partial).
