    What's special

Mostly brick 4 bedroom, 4 bath home with a daylight basement apartment and basement storage area the size of the entire first floor of the house in the heart of North Chattanooga. The floors are all hardwoods (mostly original), except for tile in the bathrooms and laminate in the kitchen, and most of the doors are original with crystal knobs. All of the original windows, except for 2 in the basement, have been replaced with side sliding double-paned vinyl windows (as of fall 2016). The entire interior of the 2 main levels has been repainted (as of September 2016). First Main Floor When you enter the house, you are greeted with the grand open staircase with landing and crystal chandelier, and access to the living room, a bedroom/full bathroom, and hallway to the kitchen and laundry room. The formal living room has French doors to the foyer and double accordion French doors to the formal dining room with decorative chandelier and sconces. The kitchen has been updated with granite countertops; center island with storage; freshly painted white cabinets; copper farm sink with window box; stainless appliances, including range, wall oven, and warming drawer; a walk-in pantry with matching cabinetry and granite; and access to the over-sized laundry room. From the laundry room there is an exterior entry and access to the deck that runs the span of the backside of the house and around the corner. A sunroom spans the back of the house with a view on one side of downtown, including the Aquarium, and a picture window that has a view of the deck and mountains. There is also an exterior door to the deck. French doors lead to a full bath off the sunroom with a pedestal sink, jetted tub, skylight, stained glass, and built-in glass shelves. There is a master on the main level with 2 small closets, full bathroom, fireplace, and exterior entry. It can also be used as an office, library, guest room, or playroom. 2nd Main Floor On the 2nd floor, there are 2 additional bedrooms, including the Master, and 2 full bathrooms, including the Master bathroom. All of the 2nd floor, except the tiled bathrooms, have original hardwood floors. Ceiling fans are in all 3 of the bedrooms. The Master bedroom is quite spacious and bright with 2 small "His" and "Hers" closets, separated by a nook perfect for a small couch, vanity, chaise lounge, oversized chair, or desk with a window. The Master also has a full bathroom. The guest bathroom features an updated shower. A Jack-and-Jill walk through closet connects the 2 additional bedrooms, with 1 bedroom having an additional closet so that each bedroom has adequate closet space in each room. The back bedroom features a fireplace, giving it a bed and breakfast feel. The Basement The downstairs basement size is the entire 1st floor and partially finished, separated in half into a daylight 1 bedroom apartment with full bathroom and kitchenette and a dry concrete and brick storage area with full bathroom. Backyard The backyard is fenced with a level backyard. The large entertaining deck runs the length of the house, featuring a pergola and access the backyard (newly built as of April 2017).
