The Treehouse Lovenest is a retro chic, charmingly unique, country loft/lodge situated on nearly 3 acres of virgin forest in upstate NY. This two level, two bedroom house is perched high amongst the trees, and surrounded by woods and a seasonal (occasional) stream. The house has 18 foot ceilings, a sunken living room, a large master bedroom with a killer view, and an open kitchen which is well-equipped with new appliances and a fun and diverse library of cookbooks (old and new) for those who love to cook or wish they knew how. If you are a child of the 60's or 70's you will love the awesome stereo and an extensively eclectic collection of vinyl. Think Stones, Joplin, Jones (Grace, Jack, Tommy...) and much more! Our simple, clean, tastfully-created, mid century inspired, cozy little nook is an ideal getaway for people looking to escape the city and reconnect with nature.. It's a luscious retreat that will recharge your spirit and energize the soul!! (Speaking of spirits did I mention our kick-[removed] cocktail bar manned by our deer friend Buck?! See pic.) Treehouse Lovenest is located just 15 minutes from Fahnestock State Park, which offers hiking trails, bird watching, picnic areas and scenic campgrounds, and Cold Spring NY which has several antique shops and restaurants. The Metro North Train Station is also there for an easy and very lovely commute to and from the city. For those who love swimming, fishing, canoeing and/or kayaking, there's a fantastic lake just 10 minutes away. We are looking for a long term renter starting in Oct. who will enjoy our home as much as we do for the full year or on a monthly basis, although if you love nature you'll love it there all year round. Each season is spectacular! The fee is $2600 per month, not including utilities. (Utilities cost approx. $500 per month.) From Aug. to Oct., we have short term availability and mid week specials starting at $250 per night. Dogs are allowed upon approval however we are unable to accept cats. Sorry! There are two outdoor sheds which offer limited storage space. Thank you! Basquali Renter is responsible for utility fees which totals $500 approximately per month. $100 deposit for pets.
