The home was built in 1921 by a Peabody oil baron. Original woodwork. Tiled porch. Partially tiled roof. In ground sprinkler system. 3 out of 4 bedrooms are huge. There is a 3 car garage with servants quarters above. Huge basement w/sump pump and lots of storage. The fireplace is immaculate. The original owner commissioned an Italian artist to come to the US to design and build. It is a one of a kind piece of artwork. The house has normal wear and tear for a house of its age. We bought this house in October 2020 and have spent the last 13 months remodeling: painting, updating flooring, remodeling both bathrooms, installing new heating and air conditioning units on both floors, remodeling the kitchen, adding built in shelves in the breakfast room and dining room to match the woodwork and appear as original to the house, planting six trees close to the house on the south and west sides and removing all the bushes on the south and west sides which blocked the beautiful patios on both sides. We will also replace all the patio tiles that are chipped and broken as well as rebuilding the steps to the servants quarters and completely remodeling the service quarters into livable space again. We will also build a deck completely around the servants quarters. We will also clean out the fountain on the southside and put a water feature there again. We will continue to update this house and honor the spirit of the original owners and the house itself as we live here throughout the years.
