This is a great little home right in the town of Ward. This is a small house with lots of little details and creative use of space. It's fully furnished, super cozy with an amazing woodstove that will keep you as warm as you'd like. Ward is a small, quiet mountain town about 35 min from Boulder. This is perfect for someone looking for temporary, fully furnished, situation. I'm flexible on the term, between 1 & 6 months, and welcome inquiries. Ideal will be someone who is familiar with mountain living and will not be surprised by winter life at 9,200ft! It's important to note that this has a composting toilet. While a little different, it works really well, requires no extra knowledge or maintenance, is in the home and does not smell when used properly. Otherwise, it has an awesome tub plus a small W/D combo. It does have running water. It is really ideal for up to two adults and a kid or two at the most. There is one queen sized bed in the master bedroom and a twin bed in the upstairs room. All the side rooms have electric space heaters as needed although I do ask that you use them sparingly and as necessary. I have all the linens. There's plenty of room for personal things too, a couple of dressers and plenty of shelving. There is only 1 dedicated parking spot so you'd need to find a nearby spot for a second car. The kitchen has all you need. There is a small store in town which I'd encourage you to check out, but the closest real shopping or restaurants are in Nederland about 20 min away or Boulder about 1/2 hour. There is high speed internet through Starlink. One of the best features in this home is the water, straight from the tap is untreated, cold, and delicious. It's a town water system fed from a spring above town. You will understand the meaning of "delicious water" after enjoying it. You'll love my home for its cozy space and for the wildness of the setting. It's been a great getaway for a lots of visitors anxious to escape to something special. It's a winter getaway for wonderful cross country skiing and adventurous snowshoeing just out the door. The Brainard Lake Rec Area is a 10 minute drive plus other backcountry options very close. Eldora Ski Area is about 40 minutes away. This is an awesome spot for outdoor recreation opportunities. This is a special home in a special town. You'll have an unforgettable experience, I assure you! The rental period is negotiable. I'm looking for a minimum of 2 months but am open to a discussion.
