Lake Crescent and Sutherland are two of the larger lakes. The Elwha and Dungeness rivers offer white water thrills, plus trout and salmon fishing. Bike paths stretch from east of Sequim to west of Port Angeles. Picnic and play in the many city and county parks, including Salt Creek Recreation area, home of WWII Fort Hayden. Both cities offer seasonal events from arts and crafts, to music, the Lavender Festival and the Sequim Irrigation Festival.
