We built a 16 x 32 shack on our almost 5 acres back in 2014. We lived there for a year and then left for WA state for family. We have been back several times to check on the place. It's still in good shape. Outhouse over looks a field. We built a dog and chicken run. There is a small lagoon and power is on the edge of the property. Water will need to be brought in. To get there we have one neighbor on our easement. You drive up the drive way open the unlocked gate, drive in front of their house and then our property is right after theirs. The shack is up on the hill so no flooding issues. There is a slight hill and at the back of the property a small creek that does grow to at least 12 feet across when it rains really hard. Little cedar trees mostly but, at the back is a few taller leafed trees. On one side is a neighbor set way back. the windows over look a big hay field. The back over looks our own property and the left side looks at the neighbors A frame that the easement is shared with. I have included a picture of our big green tent because to the right is the view of the neighbor's A frame. It is close to the house but, not terribly close. A good fence would help. I will include our summer pictures from 2014 to see the possibilities. 16 x 16 of it is totally insulated. The ceiling and floor are the only parts that have been finished with wood. The entire floor is also insulated and the entire bottom underneath (outside) is covered in mesh to prevent mice. Also, entire perimeter has been rat guard put on. The entire building is metal. Windows are old windows but, we put one outside and inside with a strip of wool in-between in the winter and we never had condensation that way. We were plenty warm with the wood stove. Half of the inside has a loft which is only 2 foot tall. underneath the loft is four foot tall. We had a bed and recliner underneath. By the stove we had a sink that emptied into a bucket which we dumped when full and a camping toilet. Also, was room to hang clothes under the loft, a dresser and a small kitchen table. The other half outside is a 16 x 16 carport. It has a metal roof and canvas walls and a door made of fencing to keep animals out.
