Originally built in 1956, we stay proactive with maintenance and respond quickly to any issues. Many years ago, the original parquet floors were removed, and tile was installed, thus making it pet-friendly. At one time, we had a plumbing issue in the "master bath". Subway tile was popular then. Mom & Dad opted to remove the mosaic tile walls in that shower. The hall bath has the original mosaic tile floor and charming square tile walls. Around 1980, new windows and a wood-burning stove were installed. Lovely for winter heat. Fun fact, under the hearth is a time capsule. My brother and I were 11 & 12.
