    What's special

If you're looking for a sunlit, newly-renovated one bedroom apartment on the first floor level, walk for 3 minutes from the Porter Square T station, or 10-15 minutes from Davis or Harvard Square stations, and you'll be home! + Gorgeous rainbow-green mosaic accenting white tile in the brand new bathroom, renovated from the studs on in, with a granite shower seat and clear glass enclosure. Bathroom is 8.5 feet x 5 feet. Hallway to bathroom is 5 ft by 6 ft, just a small jump from the rest of the apartment. + Recently-replaced hot water heater to go with the new bathroom, so your showers will always be as hot as you'd like! + Huge carpeted living room (or possible living room/dining room), 15 ft by 11 ft, with three large windows. + Enormous bedroom with large closet, corner nook, and two windows, sized 13 ft by 12.5 ft. + Comfortable kitchen with recently-replaced appliances! Kitchen is reasonably large, at 11 ft by 10 ft, and has three windows. (We also wanted to replace the kitchen cabinetry and countertop in the next few months. Scheduling the week of the install would be worked out with the new tenant, if applicable, and that month's rent would be discounted for the inconvenience. Alternatively, this work can be put off until there is a COVID-19 vaccine, if the new tenant would prefer. Any work done inside the house would be masked.) + All windows and insulation were recently replaced, so temperatures should be comfortable in any season. + Heat and hot water utilities are included in the rent, too! You get your own thermostat zone -- all we ask is that you are reasonable with it. + One spot in the driveway available for your use, so long as you shovel snow off the driveway in the winter! (There's also plenty of on-street parking, but who doesn't want to sleep through street sweeping and plow seasons?) + First floor apartment, so your move-in day is smooth and easy! (In terms of accessibility, there is one step to get into the building from the street, and 4 steps to get up to the bathroom and hallway cabinet. Our apologies -- this is not how we would design the house if we were building it.) + High ceilings throughout, and classy ceiling trim/moulding that was lovingly hand-crafted. + Brand new flooring throughout the apartment -- a mix of bamboo wood floor, lush carpeting, beautiful tile. + Unique, artistic front door made by local artisan -- your home will be a world apart! Owner-occupied building, with responsive landlords. We know what it's like to have a terrible landlord whose building is going to fall down around you, so we do the opposite of that! First and last month's rent will be due upon signing the lease. No realtor fee! Heat and hot water utilities are included! However, that means that electricity, internet, etc., are the responsibility of the tenant. The bottom half of the driveway is available for your use, with parking included in the rent. (The top half is covered in an urban garden.) You also get all the advantages of living in Porter Square: easy access to the T, great nearby restaurants, coffee shops, Star Market down the next block, book store in the neighborhood, multiple dry cleaner and laundromat options, Whole Foods within a mile of the house, etc. This apartment is in the city's Small Business Overlay District, so a small business could legally be operated out of your home. This apartment would probably make a fine small office for an accountant, lawyer, therapist, or other professional. Please note: we proudly fly a rainbow flag outside the house. Queer fam are welcome to become our neighbors, too!
