Seeking *temporary* renters and caretakers for our home while we are away for the first 6 months of 2027 (dates somewhat flexible: Dec/Jan to June/July). Our beautiful new (built in 2023), airy, modern and efficient house is on a quiet street (almost no traffic) and has either a view of trees or of the Raleigh skyline (during winter) and is steps from Raleigh's largest parks and minutes from NC State Campus and Downtown Raleigh. We are 10 minute walk to Dix Park's Dambo Troll Sculptures and the Flowers Cottage Coffee Shop/Bar. To sum up: peaceful and quiet country living in the middle of the city. The house is fairly sparsely furnished and set up for a family. We plan/hope to keep the house furnished/as-is but could be reconfigured by a renter if needed. The main floor is open plan and very airy with a very well-equipped kitchen, a large walk-in pantry/prep area and a mud/laundry room. Upstairs includes a master suite and two kids' bedrooms, a den and a small office. The downstairs/basement includes a large room and bathroom with a private entrance via the attached one-car garage with Level 2 EV charger. The first floor opens via glass doors to a large (10' x 40') covered porch with dining and living room furniture and a grill. The large fenced back yard includes open area and some vegetable garden areas and could be suitable for a well-behaved dog. More photos/details available upon request. May be flexible about arrangements (e.g. using only part of the house) for the right fit. Maximum 6-7 months, minimum 3 months. Utilities would stay in owners names and include electricity ($50-250/month, depending on season, this included 1-2 EVs charging), internet ($109/month), water/waste ($60-90/month depending on usage), $100/month for garden maintenance (negotiable), a $400 non-refundable cleaning fee and a $200 deposit for a (single) pet.
